Sintered stone is man made from granite particles to create a very strong surface that Is non –porous, stain resistant and available in a thinner thickness than granite.
The man – made patterns and colours that are available mean that you can create a real coordinated and uniform look across a number of pieces to create a real feature both indoors or outdoors including commercial applications.
I have always loved working with stone and designing products that are unique and built to last. My personal favourite is the Modena as it is a unique design and really shows off how far we have come in being able to bend and shape quartz.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with the whole family, socialising over a beer or two, cooking and playing golf.
Having started my career working in the factory, I have had the unique opportunity to see all aspects of the business! My favourite piece of furniture is the Vittoria because the edge details and base design has such a luxury finish.
In my spare time, I enjoy pushing myself in my sports which includes football, golf and occasionally like to give surfing a go!
Helping my customers with their designs, means my favourite piece of furniture changes every day! However, working on expanding the Chateau Collection was a firm favourite of mine as it is a truly timeless collection!
If I am not in the office, you are likely to find me exploring the stunning beaches of the English Riviera or at the gym hiding from the rain!
Having worked in the factory since the start of my stone masonry career, it is a fun challenge supporting Steve as a Director.
I really like the Valentina Collection which is new to us. Working in the factory, it is always an exciting challenge when creating new designs and products that do end up in the catalogue.
I have a young family and enjoy family days out, golf and fishing for the peace and quiet.
With 35 years working in the factory here at Steve Bristow, my favourite table is the Bistro Table. A classic design, that is versatile in either a business or home!
If I am not in the factory, I am playing golf or trying to enjoy as much sunshine as I can get in my garden. I am partial to a trip in a sunnier climate and seeing what the world has to offer (or which golf course I can play on next!)
Creating rendered drawings of designs and ideas is such a fun aspect of the job!
It’s so hard to pick a favourite out of our tables, but I do love the simplicity and versatility of the Grecian Collection.
Outside of work I am a Karate instructor, having trained for 13 years I now teach in the evenings and weekends. I also love to sing and play piano in my spare time.
My favourite design is the Roma dining table. It’s simple yet aesthetically pleasing. It allows both characteristic and all stone choices, a timeless design!
When I’m not working, I love nature and all things natural so we spend a lot of time outdoors and adventuring together. I love to read in my down time and spend time with my family.
I have worked in the factory for the last year and it has been really interesting learning about stone and supporting bring the furniture to life. I particularly enjoy making the Venezia collection as it is intricate and complex to make an impactful statement.
I think it looks great in Indian Black Granite.
If I am not at work making coffee for the team, I am long distance running or boxing to keep on top of my fitness.
